2011 Queensland Floods
Last year the decade-long drought broke and we had constant steady rain, over-filling the dam and saturating the catchment. As the downpours continued into 2011, Qld has had massive flooding. Lives were lost and many homes destroyed. Though we packed during the rains, we moved to Ballina just before the flooding. However, friends and family have been re-located and everyone has been affected in some way. We share the awe of the power and unpredictablity of nature, and the shock and sorrow of those who have lost homes and loved ones.

Frank, Robyn and Tara move South
In January 2011 we will leave the Quaker Forest, where we have lived for the past 14 years. We are moving to Ballina NSW, to live in a smaller community and be closer to the river and ocean. As Maeve would approve of both of these things, we expect her spirit to continue to infuse our lives with fun and gentleness.
